Children of immigrants return to Asia for job opportunities

I came to Asia in 99. Looking highly likely that I will live in Asia the rest of my life but who knows exactly where.

My only regret is not coming earlier than I did.

The children of many Asians who emigrated to the U.S. are seeing more interesting opportunities in their parents’ home countries.

Life In A Constant Stream Of Emails And Meetings – AVC

Life In A Constant Stream Of Emails And Meetings – AVC

Very true – unfortunately.

Here are some of my tools/processes:

Internal meetings I used a laptop and just pound out notes linked to calendar entries using https://agenda.com

External meetings I use a notebook – I want to be in the meeting, not in my phone or laptop.

Most of meetings I let Evie schedule but I block of lots of time that she can’t schedule so as to make room for myself to think

I have been using Zapier to dump all my calendar entries into a spreadsheet – data mining for the future.

I have a bunch of inboxes and snippets for superhuman – on the desktop, which I prefer for work using a MacBook – I am incredibly efficient and fast with my email now and my inbox is not zero but very small. I don’t care about zero really but I don’t like a wall of email.

This forms the basis for most of my day to day processes.

Just Write

I’ll start off by saying I don’t claim to be a good writer but I aspire to be one. This is why I write.

I also decided long ago to write for myself but publish it. For years I have always run my own blog on WordPress since I wanted to stay on top of tech and own my existence online.

Yesterday my blog was mentioned on ATR :: http://atr.asiatechreview.com/issues/asia-tech-review-march-25-2019-165405

That was a great achievement for me.

There has been chatter about content marketing strategies and VC’s but I wanted to challenge the motive some. If you write to get attention or because you need to market yourself, your authentic self may not appear.

I think it is important to write because you have something to say and you want to express yourself via words.

If you are not sure then just starting writing more since only through doing will it improve.
